In reference to yesterday's post, it would seem that every leftard in New York City is now convinced that I should be put on trial and executed for the cardinal sin of not expressing, publicly, sympathy, for the death of a child.
As I said in that same post, it used to be taken for granted that someone wouldn't be saddened by the loss of a young life, but why must we make a masturbatory expression of public grief every time it happens? Children die all the time, sadly, especially in places where the leftards reign supreme, and so rather than answer accusations of being a secret douchebag, I'm going to explain to you EXACTLY how leftism killed that child.
Let us begin with the sorry story of the roads on Staten Island.
Staten Island, also known as The Forgotten Borough, has, without doubt the worst roads in all of New York City. Primarily this is because many are relics of the pre-Revolutionary days, narrow, winding affairs.
The second reason was Robert Moses, the champion of reckless city planning and construction, who thought of Staten Island merely as a place to drive through on your way to New Jersey. Expansive highway construction through the middle of the island -- much of it left incomplete some 50-plus years already -- means we have exits to nowhere on highways that don't exist; that interfered with construction of major streets and avenues on either side of said incomplete construction, and which left huge rusting monuments to the Man's stupidity in the way of everything, everywhere.
The road on which this little girl was killed is very narrow and at the point of the accident, narrows further because of the need to put a turning lane at that traffic light.
The road cannot be widened, we've been told for a few decades now, to both be safer and handle increased traffic, because the land on either side of it is protected wood and wetlands. Protected by New York State, that is. So, because we cannot install a major safety feature -- a wider road -- because doing is some kind of ecological disaster and for the votes of a few tree huggers, a child is dead.
Incidentally, that road also cuts through the same woodlands that have become a haven for deer, who probably cause more accidents along that stretch than any other factor. The City's response to the deer issue? Sterilize the bucks...the herd increased, anyway.

The next item on the agenda is what New York calls the 'Vision Zero' initiative.
What this is supposed to accomplish is reducing the number of pedestrian deaths and injuries which occur when people are crossing streets.
That most people get killed crossing outside of crosswalks is irrelevant: it was an excuse to install traffic cameras (revenue generators) and make automobile travel as difficult as possible, causing people to use mass transit (it failed, and the speed limit on any road here is 25 mph).
Instead, what it does is artificially create more traffic, as stop lights change faster, holing up traffic, and encouraging speeding, because the traffic lights are too close together.
This stretch of road has NO sidewalks and the only pedestrian traffic is day hikers enjoying the protected woodlands, and the crosswalks for the nature trails ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD.
Because the left hates the automobile and because leftists are literally too stupid to cross a street on their own, they have created an unsafe environment in the process of attempting to make it safer. That little girl might still be alive if not for hatred of the automobile.
Why do they hate automobiles? because like guns, it is an outward expression and example of freedom
Third item: I I asked about the immigration status of those involved because most major accidents on this island seem to involve the following kinds of people:
1. Immigrants who can't read road signs, because English.
2. Immigrants from backwards places where 20th century technology, like the traffic light and the automobile are beyond their ability to master.
3. Immigrants granted driver's license like you would hand out Halloween candy, because racism, and then proceeding to drive they same way they would in Mumbai, Caracas or Kabul.
4. Immigrants that are encouraged to come here because of Sanctuary City policies and over-generous Welfare bennies paid for by other people.
Had the City and State not been encouraging illegal immigration, protecting the illegal immigrants, granting them driver's licenses, and complying with Federal Law, that little girl might have still been in Tegucigalpa, Mexico City, Bogota, or wherever it is her parents came from, and she'd be alive.
LEFTISM KILLS.
So shut the fuck up.
Within hours there was a Go Fund Me set up to pay for her funeral, which tells me that no one involved probably had insurance.
Also the hallmark of the illegal alien.
And for all the years where this particular problem has been ignored by City and Sate Government, one can make the case that Kathy Hochul, Eric Adams and Bill DeBlasio killed her. It goes without saying that Andrew Cuomo belongs on that list, too, because killing people with stupid policy is his stock-in-trade.
Ignoring problems that have easy fixes, but which hurt libtards tender feelz and which in retrospect make them look foolish is standard operating procedure here.
And in recognition of the great job President Trump and our military did in arresting Nicolas Maduro, I implore the President:
