"I won't insult your intelligence by suggesting that you really believe what you just said..." -- William F. Buckley
Remember that image on the left? I sure do. That was the day when Bill Clinton and Janet Reno decided that the best course of action to take regarding an illegal, unaccompanied minor was to separate him from his family, at gunpoint, and then deport him to Cuba, the very place his mother had risked (and lost) her life to get him out of.
My, have times changed!
Why?
That question has never been satisfactorily answered. At the time, there were all sorts of mumblings about "parental rights" -- Elian's absentee father back in Cuba apparently wanted him back, perhaps the first time any leftist ever paid at least lip service to the idea of Father's Rights -- but none of it passed the smell test.
A lot of things about the Clinton administration never passed the smell test.
Especially the cigars and Oval Office seat cushions.
But you should know that this little operation in "repatriation" of a small, defenseless child only took place after the same Clinton and the same Reno deployed military force during a 51-day "siege" of a religious community in Waco, Texas, on the spurious excuse of conducting a midnight gun raid and then under the supposed auspices of "saving" children who were, we were told, being sexually abused by a cult leader.
Children that later burned to death when the government decided the optics of the whole thing looked terrible and so to clean up the obvious mess, they accidentally burned the buildings down with people still inside of them, making the optics even worse. About 80 people, including children, were incinerated on national television by a combination of the ATF, FBI and National Guard.
Some "saving".
It would appear children in this country, legal or illegal, are in more danger from the federal government under leftist leadership than they are back in Communist dictatorships or under the influence of an accused pedophile.
It's the only time, it seems, the left actually likes guns and the military and law enforcement -- when they can use them to terrorize people they don't like, enforce laws that may not even be constitutional, or if there's some imagined benefit to currying favor with a repressive dictatorship.
I make mention of these past events for the following reason: the intertoobies are in full, menstrual (as usual) fury over a leaked audio recording of the Trump administration making plans to embed American military personnel within the mass deportation process now taking place all over the country.
This has the left up in arms, with one fucking genius actually lighting the scoreboard up with a quote along the lines that the U.S. military has no business being on U.S. soil.
The real reason for all the pure hysteria from the left over the deportation issue has nothing to do with morals, ethics or even the law; it has to do with having people here who, often by necessity, become wards of the state (government union workers handing out taxpayer dollars for no ROI), get counted in the Census (which helps dems acquire and expand their congressional delegation, not to mention fosters vote fraud) and removing a factor in the chaos our daily lives have become, as the left requires chaos, even the stuff they manufacture, in order to remain in power.
So long as there is chaos, and someone claims to have "a solution" which requires an expansion of government (more government employees) and handing out even more of other people's money, the left has a chance, politically.
Because if everything wasn't "a crisis" that needs more funding and more bureaucrats to do make-work jobs (where else are Black Women going to find employment?) you wouldn't need a savior. That your would-be Messiah is usually responsible for "the crisis" in the first place is to be conveniently ignored or forgotten.
I'll make a few, quick points here and then let you get on with your day:
1. People are here illegally. I know leftists have difficulties with plain language, which is why we get word salads like "minor-attracted person", "differently abled", why other words like "choice", "democracy", "woman" and "fairness" all have multiple definitions of convenience to these idiots, but the fact remains that you may call a monkey a raccoon all you'd like, but it's still a fucking monkey.
Illegal means "not in accordance with the law", laws, incidentally, you morons got to vote on because "democracy". People who break laws go to jail or suffer other punishments as the law provides. In this case, some 30 million people who don't belong here, who illegally crossed a border, who are a burden on the taxpayer, our schools, hospitals, jails, and housing resources, are, by definition, criminals.
That you need them in order to continue your racket of using power to create more chaos to acquire more power -- and taxpayer funding for it all -- does not erase that reality.
2. The first job of any President is the nation's security. That applies not only to wartime, but to peacetime, as well. He has enormous responsibilities in this regard and he also has enormous resources that can, CONSTITUTIONALLY, be applied to this particular security issue.
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is a sign that fascism has come to America.
In fact, the only fascists I've ever seen in my lifetime appear to be the sorts that police language, unleash angry mobs on innocent people, attempt to get people fired from their jobs, or even killed, for holding an opinion that varies from fashionable leftist drivel, fund gangs of seriously-retarded teenagers and losers to go out and play Urban Guerilla complete with body armor and conveniently-delivered pallets of bricks, plays the race card to a tee like a well-oiled extortion racket, and attempts to influence children in the schools into believing men can be pregnant and a drag queen sticking a finger inside of you or walking around your locker and bathrooms with his shlong hanging out is a perfectly normal act of love.
The same fascists who will pervert the law to their needs to do things like, say, interfere with an election, cheat in an election, file frivolous articles of impeachment, maintain a private -- and hackable -- e-mail server to avoid complying with Federal regulations and to discuss illegal activities in secrecy, pay foreign governments and agents to concoct crimes out of thin air to be applied to their opponents, jail their opponents, turn state-level misdemeanors into federal felonies past the statute of limitations, attempt to prosecute people for frauds that they, themselves, are committing, to deflect criticism and scrutiny of their activities, and use media as tool of propaganda to tell the public why X is really Y.
Or use science to misinform you of basic, elemental facts and realities in order to scam you out of money, enforce policies that have little to do with science, at all, or to create viruses that no one wanted, needed or served any useful purpose -- until they were released and caused a global panic that killed millions. Or to use science as a means of directing billions of taxpayer dollars into boondoggles brewed up between politician, connected individuals, so as to defraud in order to enrich themselves and their friends, all while screaming "save the planet!', wrapped in the mantle of a phony altruism.
Only to have real science tell you the problem is not real, the solutions proffered are about as useful as fleas on a dog and the connected got a shit ton of other people's money before it all went bankrupt. This applies not only to "Green Energy" but to "vaccines" (the definition of which has to be changed so as to make a Frankenstein-style poison developed for a Frankenstein-style virus one retroactively), "social sciences" (which is short on both), "conservation" (which is really about creating artificial scarcity) and "high-speed rail" projects that no one wanted, needed or asked for, either.
If using all available resources to enforce duly-passed, constitutional laws that the left had a hand in crafting is fascism, then I have some lovely beachfront property to sell you, assuming Al Gore didn't buy it all up after insisting it would have been under water 20 years ago.
3. None of you would know a fascist if one ran up and bit you on the ass. You certainly don't recognize any when you look in a mirror.
4. Fuck illegal aliens. In fact, that's one of the reason the left loves them so much. Where else can you get anonymous victims of rape, child molestation, cheap labor to mow your lawn, raise your kids, or clean the pool on your modern Feudal Manor in Chappaqua or the Bay Area without them? It's all "victimless" crime because no one gives a shit about the victims and if they complain, it's back to whatever shithole spawned them in the first place.
What I mean to say is that we have people who, having bypassed the procedures on "due process" to enter America, grab all the low-hanging fruit, use all the taxpayer-funded services that are, BY RIGHT, reserved for citizens, destroy communities with crime and drugs, and allow other countries to empty their jails, insane asylums and slip criminals and terrorists into the country, then by whatever you hold holy, get them the fuck out.
And to use a very popular leftist phrase to underscore this point:
By any means necessary.
As to this "plan" to use military resources to enforce and protect the border, I say it's about friggin' time. I would also say the leak was probably committed by a leftist, most likely a member of Congress who was briefed on the potential plan. Which is why the President needs to stop talking to Congress about such things and just do them, as always, within the confines of the law and Constitution.
It has been proven umpteen million times that Congresscritters, and especially their hangers-on, cannot be trusted with sensitive information. No sooner do they get it then they're making calls to Maddow and the New York Times to blab about it.
Because it's proof that they're important, or something, and that importance or appearance of such, is a valuable commodity, almost a currency, in the sewer they all swim in.
At this point, I'd be perfectly fine with using military forces to undertake basic military missions which include securing and defending the national borders and repelling foreign invasions.
That's their job.
